How can I log in? First you need to register an account. You will receive a verification email with a link, to validate your email-address. Please click on the link - then you can log in with your email-address and your password.
If you didn't receive the verification email, or if you forgot your password, please enter only your email address and click "Login". On the following page you can resend the verification email or request your password.

How can I sell material on steelbay?
First you need to register an account. Then you can enter your contact details. Finally you can publish your offer. You can add images and documents (e.g. Excel-lists, Word-documents or PDF-files). Other users can see your contact details and will contact you directly. Steelbay is not involved in any negotiations or contracts.

How can I buy material on steelbay?
When you see an interesting offer, you can login, see the contact detail of the vendor and contact him directly. Registering with steelbay and using the contact details is free of charge. Steelbay itself is not offering material.

How do I know if new material is published on steelbay?
Steelbay sends a list of new offers to every user at 8 o'clock local time. You can choose to receive an SMS immediately when a new offer is published, or you can use our RSS feed. In your account's settings you can set the notifications you want to receive. Please don't forget to set your timezone! All notifications are free of charge.

What do I do after I have sold my material?
You can end the publication of your material by clicking 'delete' in edit your offers. Then other users will no longer contact you for this material. For your future reference you can review the offer under offer history.

What can I do, if there is trouble conducting a trade?
Steelbay is a open plattform. Steelbay does currently not validate the crediability of users. Please let us know about your experiences.
If you need support to import/export or transport material, we can recommend a suitable partner to support your buisiness.

What are the fees?
Registration for steelbay is free of charge. Publishing offers requires payment. Offers can be published starting from 4.99 EUR per offer, depending on the services included.
